The brief introduction of Alnico magnets.

Alnico magnet is a kind of the earliest developed permanent magnet materials. It is an alloy which is made up of aluminum, nickel, cobalt, iron and other trace metal elements. Alnico Magnets material is successfully developed in the 1930s.

At that time, Alnico magnets were the best, and the temperature coefficient is small. So Alnico magnets were widely used in the application of permanent magnet motor. After the 60s, as ferrite permanent magnet and rare earth permanent magnet appeared successively, the application of Alnico Magnets in the electrical machine was gradually replaced.

Alnico magnets can be divided into sintering aluminum nickel and cobalt and casting aluminum nickel according to the different Alnico magnets production process. Casting process can be processed into different size and shape, and sintered Alnico magnets products are limited to small size.

In the permanentAlnico magnets materials, casting aluminum nickel cobalt permanent magnet has the lowest reversible temperature coefficient. Cast Alnico magnets’ working temperature can be as high as 600 degrees. Aluminum nickel and cobalt permanent Alnico magnets products are widely used in all kinds of instruments and other application fields.

Many industrial and consumer products requires a strong permanent magnet, for example, Alnico magnet motor, electric guitar pickups, microphones, sensors, speakers, traveling wave tubes, cow magnet (cow magnet), and so on, will be used. But now, many products have changed the use of rare earth magnets, because such material can be given relatively strong magnetic field (Br) and higher maximum energy product (BHmax), which allows reducing the volume of the products. However, the use of Alnico magnet is irreplaceable.
